Your Questions Answered — Understanding ABA Therapy

We Focus On

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based therapy that helps children with autism and developmental needs build communication, social, daily living, and academic skills. It uses positive reinforcement and individualized strategies to promote meaningful growth.

Our Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) designs a personalized treatment plan for your child. Trained Behavior Technicians then deliver therapy in the comfort of your home, where learning naturally connects to daily routines. Parents and caregivers are actively involved through family coaching.

We primarily work with children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), but services may also benefit children with related developmental or behavioral needs. Each plan is tailored to the child’s age, strengths, and goals.

Yes. ABA therapy is covered by many health insurance providers. At Knight ABA Consulting, we currently accept Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Aetna, and Evernorth (Cigna), with more to come. We’ll guide you through the insurance process and discuss payment options during your consultation.

Session length varies depending on your child’s needs and treatment plan. Most in-home ABA sessions range from 2–4 hours, with frequency determined by the BCBA and your family’s schedule.

We use data-driven methods to track your child’s growth. Progress is reviewed regularly, and treatment plans are updated as your child develops new skills. Families receive ongoing updates and celebrate milestones together.

Yes! In fact, family involvement is strongly encouraged. Siblings, parents, and caregivers can participate in activities and coaching to help reinforce skills and promote consistency outside of therapy sessions.

  • Social Skills Groups – small group settings to practice peer interaction
  • School Consulting – collaboration with schools to improve student outcomes
